Laurence Singer, has counseled and advised clients in legal matters, business operations and strategic planning. Mr. Singer specializes in entertainment, media, intellectual property, non-profit, and corporate law, and international business development. He also serves as a business consultant advising companies on business development and operational strategies, has represented American companies seeking joint ventures and strategic alliances around the world, and has founded and operated private media companies. 

Mr. Singer has drafted a wide range of corporate documents, and has drafted and negotiated commercial agreements in the fields of entertainment, media, Internet, telecommunications, and information technology. He also has prepared private placement memorandums and has consulted with clients on other SEC filings.
 
Mr. Singer has represented clients in United States District Court, before the United States Court of Appeals, and in petitioning the United States Congress for special legislation. Among other cases, Mr. Singer served as co-counsel in a copyright infringement lawsuit against DreamWorks and Warner Entertainment, and recently served as lead counsel in litigation against Oracle Corporation involving claims for misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of contract.

As a telecommunications attorney Mr. Singer was involved in the initial stages of the restructuring of the United States telecommunications sector, participating in year-long negotiations at the Federal Communications Commission at the beginning stages of deregulation of the United States’ telecommunication industry. He has represented the Public Interest Satellite Network, Consumer Federation of America, and Consumer’s Union, and has served as a consultant for the Department of State and the Department of Commerce, advising foreign governments on privatization and the establishment of regulatory structures for their telecommunications sectors.

Mr. Singer’s experience in the entertainment industry extends from entertainment law, to the packaging of entertainment projects, to organizing and managing productions, and to producing concerts with internationally known artists, including two concerts at the United Nations.

In 1973 Mr. Singer founded Lawyers Committee for the Arts in Washington, D.C., and since then has worked with many artistic, humanitarian, educational and cultural organizations, obtaining tax-exempt status and advising these organizations on the implementation of their operating strategies. Mr. Singer has served on the Board of Directors of District Curators, the Alvin Ailey School, and Jennifer Muller Dance Theater, and presently is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, the Indigenous Culture and Education Center, and The Immediate Life. Mr. Singer has represented NGOs at the United Nations for the past 12 years.
